What’s my role as a Doula?

As a doula, my main goal is to enhance women's emotional satisfaction during their childbearing experiences, regardless of the setting.

I provide continuous one-on-one care, offering physical, emotional support, and valuable information to women and their partners throughout pregnancy, labor, and childbirth.

My role is to help couples work as a team, addressing their fears and self-doubt. I also ensure that I don't overshadow the partner's role.

During labor, I offer continuous support, including encouragement, reassurance, and soothing touch through massage. Additionally, I suggest various techniques such as breathing, relaxation, and positioning, and explain medical procedures as they occur.

What’s a Doula?

A Doula is a Birthing Companion trained to provide continuous one-on-one care and physical, emotional, and information support to women and their partners throughout pregnancy, labor, and childbirth. A Doula is a person who empowers, supports, and instills self-belief in the women they care for. They are masters at listening and will advise, encourage, and counsel all whilst reminding women of the power they hold.
