What changes in a woman after childbirth?
How her abdomen hurts, how her breasts hurt during the first eight days of breastfeeding, how she gradually recovers, how she regains her shape and function, how her organs return to their place, and how the altered hormones (estrogen, progesterone, prolactin) regulate themselves. It can take time for the menstrual cycle to normalize. Many questions, a lot of exhaustion, and sometimes a deep sadness.
It’s important to organize your support network before childbirth: family, a postpartum doula, etc.
My work as a postpartum doula is to help you create a serene environment where you can rest, enjoy your baby, and your family. I will prepare nutritious meals that you will enjoy. I will guide you so you can get to know your body better and have a pleasant breastfeeding experience.
You can contact me free of charge to schedule an initial virtual appointment. We’ll discuss your needs and the services I can offer.
